 THE MUSIC OF

RUTH ROBERTS

Hello Music Lover!

I’m so happy to introduce all of you to my wonderful mother-in-law, Ruth Roberts, the clever creator of the most famous sports songs in our country’s history!

Her "Meet the Mets" is the theme song for the New York Mets; and "It's a Beautiful Day for a Ball Game" is the theme for the Los Angeles Dodgers. You sports fans will also recognize her football game anthem, "Mr. Touchdown," and her retro Valentine to one very famous baseball player, "I Love Mickey Mantle."

Hey Beatles and Buddy Holly fans: my hip-before-her-time mom-in-law wrote a bluesy song that these guys recorded called "Mailman Bring Me No More Blues."

As a singer myself, I have recorded many of Ruth's popular ballads –- and even one of her Gospel songs -– on my CDs.  I often perform Ruth's hit parade music in cabaret shows and have included songs that were recorded by artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Teresa Brewer, Jimmy Dean, The McGuire Sisters, Patti Page and Louie Armstrong.

Hope you enjoy the marvelous music of Ruth Roberts!

                                        Thanks,

                                        Sandra Piller

P.S. Ruth also wrote tons of elementary school Mini-Musicals that bring out the “Glee" and "High School Musical" fan in all of us! You might want to check out these lovely creations that blend education and entertainment (would that be "edutainment"?!) at michaelbrent.com
